2006 BROCHURE MANITOBA FISH MANAGEMENT
The Cobham River Lodge and Outposts have been enrolled in Manitoba’s High Quality Management Program since they were built. With the help of this program the fishing keeps getting better each year. The High Quality Management Program states that all Northern Pike over 30 inches must be released and all Walleye over 22 inches must be released. You are allowed to take home 2 Northern Pike and 4 Walleye during the 2006 season and they must be under these size
restrictions. These rules insure future generations of fishermen the type of fishing which we are experiencing from these virgin Manitoba waters. The Manitoba government limits the number of guests on a given lake, based on the fishing pressure that fishing area can handle. This insures that our lakes will never be over fished, and since our lakes are over 130 miles from the nearest roads, they will never get road pressure.
Because we have the only camp on each lake, we take pride in keeping the entire fishing area clean and free from any cans, bottles, etc. All litter and garbage is flown out to the dump in Winnipeg.
