 Hidden Lake Fishing

46.5inch Hidden Lake Northern Pike

The fishing on Hidden Lake can be summed up in one word "ACTION". Hidden Lake offers fast paced fishing that is hard to find these days. While fishing Hidden Lake its common for 2 fishermen to catch and release over 100 fish before shore lunch, with the record being 223 fish caught in one single day.

Hidden Lake offers over 100 miles of shoreline to fish. Even though Walleye is the most dominant species, numerous trophy Northern Pike have been caught. Over the years Hidden Lake has logged many trophy Northern Pike, and monster Walleye. Another Trophy Northern pike

Hidden Lake is 8 miles long, 1 mile wide, with a chain of islands down the center of the lake. While at Hidden Lake you will also have access to two other lakes north of Hidden Lake. Thunder Lake and Blue Walleye Lake. As well as access to Elliot Lake, which are the same waters that pass by our main Lodge on the Cobham River.

Thunder Lake is accessed via a short boat ride up a rocky channel north of Hidden Lake. Thunder Lake offers much the same fishing you will find on Hidden Lake, although Northern Pike seem to be in more abundance here. Thunder Lake is 3 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. While Thunder Lake is small in comparison to Hidden Lake, it offers you another avenue to explore while at Hidden Lake.

Another lake accessible from Hidden Lake Outpost is Blue Walleye Lake. While Blue Walleye Lake is only accessible via canoe, it offers you a chance to catch and release the first known walleye species, the "Blue Pike". While you are required to release all Blue Pike that you catch, it is fun to see just how different the Blue Pike species is from the walleye we all know today.

The last area you are able to fish is Elliot Lake. Elliot Lake has proven to be a Northern Pike haven, which has produced many of the large Northern Pike we see at Hidden Lake, and our main Lodge on the Cobham River. Elliot Lake is 10 miles long, 5 miles wide, and has an average depth of 7 feet. Elliot Lake offers numerous cabbage weed beds throughout the lake, and can be found virtually everywhere including the middle of the lake. Northern Pike use these weed beds as their hunting grounds, which have produced many 47 inch and bigger Northern Pike over the years.
